September Brave Kids Newsletter

Hello
Welcome to B r a v e K i d s & Co.
A Child Life Specialist Private Practice
Hello Back to School!
I'm not sure where the summer went but we are back to school!
Whether you or someone in your family has a diagnosis, you are looking for resources for a friend or you're looking for the right words to talk to your child about something difficult. Please click below to set up a time for a free consultation to see if I can be of any support.
Two things to note: I am absolutely able to meet a family where they are at as far as paying for services. I never want a family to get turned away because of finances.
In fact, my upcoming peer group for kids who have a family member with cancer is pay what you can.
Happy September!
Kindly,
Michelle

Brave Kids talk about all their mixed-up emotions.

During your Birthday week Brave Kids get to pick what they want to do and get to pick a treat. The pick: hit water balloons and eat sour patch kids.

About Child Life Specialists:
"Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS) play a critical role in supporting child health and wellness, leveraging expertise in helping children and their families cope with stressful experiences in a variety of settings. They provide preparation, education, distraction, play, and coping tools, among many other benefits, to children and their families. Prioritizing the coping and developmental needs of children and families, CCLSs promote and protect emotional safety in times of duress.
This minimizes both the immediate and long-term effects of stress, anxiety, and psychosocial trauma, ultimately empowering children, families, and their support systems."
